Write the pass conditions before the demo
Use a short sheet with four columns: scenario, expected owner, observed outcome and unresolved issue. Include one straightforward product question, one question needing a specialist and one arrival during a busy period. Set the conditions before seeing the interface so an attractive feature does not quietly replace the original requirement. All early conversations should use fictional details; a trial is not a reason to upload private customer records.
Exercise interruptions deliberately
Let the first responder leave midway through a fictional exchange. Close the agent app, pause notifications and reach the end of a coverage window in separate tests. Observe what the customer sees and where the unresolved work remains. Do not assume one passing transfer proves every interruption path. Save the plan and settings used with the result, because a feature demonstrated in a trial may not belong to the subscription you intend to buy.
Include the visitor who navigates differently
Test a narrow mobile screen and keyboard-only navigation. Check that the chat control does not hide the page’s important action or trap focus. Enlarge text and read both the conversation and its closing controls. A merchant accessibility claim is useful context, not acceptance of your entire page. Note the browser, viewport and observed behaviour so another person can repeat the check rather than relying on a vague impression.
Make the decision from the exceptions
At the end, separate blocking failures from preferences. Missing ownership, lost context and inaccessible controls deserve more weight than an attractive colour scheme. Estimate the subscription and staffing costs using the configuration that passed. Buy only if a named person can maintain that workflow. Otherwise extend a narrowly defined test or keep the existing channel. This scorecard is an original editorial tool; it does not certify a vendor or predict sales results.
Where the safety evidence stops
This guide draws on LiveChat assignment documentation, LiveChat queue configuration, W3C Understanding Reflow — standards guidance, not a certification of this site. Merchant-controlled records describe the provider’s own capabilities, terms or standards; they do not independently validate those claims. Other cited records provide additional context. A different publisher or a research, regulatory or certification label does not by itself establish independence, relevance or product validation.
Verify any current price, plan limit, label direction, compatibility rule, or commercial term that would materially change the decision. The dated source ledger shows the underlying records so this conclusion can be checked and updated.
